Code of Conduct

The Nashville Nones Convention is committed to providing a safe, friendly, and informative environment at all of our events. Accordingly, NaNoCon prohibits intimidating, threatening, or harassing conduct during our gatherings. This policy applies to speakers, staff, volunteers, and attendees. All attendees at NaNoCon and other events sponsored by NaNoCon are required to adhere to our code of conduct for the duration of each program, and at all event venues and all related social events.

Failure to abide by this code of conduct may result in ejection from the NaNoCon sponsored event at the sole discretion of the organization.

Reporting Hostile or Harassing Conduct; Investigations

Persons who are the targets of, or witnesses to, hostile or harassing conduct should contact NaNoCon staff immediately. NaNoCon staff and will be easily identifiable with shirts and badges. Phone numbers for event/venue security, local law enforcement, and local emergency medical personnel will be provided to all attendees in their registration packet materials to facilitate prompt response to complaints and/or requests for assistance.

The safety of our attendees and speakers is a priority, and we engage professional consultants with decades of experience on-site to assist us in dealing with any matters should they arise at the event. Reports of hostile or harassing conduct will be promptly investigated and addressed.

LGBTQ-Friendly Event Policy

To ensure that all members of the skeptic and greater community are welcome at or event NaNoCon is consciously working to create a safe space for members of the LGBTQ community. One way of acknowledging transgender people’s needs and experiences is to designate a number of restrooms gender neutral, which we will do with educational signs.
